John Leatherbarrow, Software Engineer

JohnJohn joined the team at C2 Software in the summer of 2007 as a software engineer, previously working as a contractor for clients such as Glaxo Smithkline, Faslane Naval Base, NHS, Royal Bank of Scotland and HBOS.

John has extensive experience in Visual Basic, XML C#, PHP, SQL, mySQL and Flash Action Script. His core strengths lie in the use of .NET and Access. John has worked on many key client projects including ITSMF.

Originally from Liverpool, John moved up to Scotland in 1999, where he met his wife. Outside of the office, John is a keen darts player and has played alongside greats such as Andy Fordham and Bobby George. John was very cagey about his 'darts name' but office speculation over it pointed to the 'Scouse Assassin' or the 'Liverpudlian Legend'. Imagine our surprise if you will when he revealed it to be 'The Hobbit', a reference to his surname. Or so he says anyway.

One of John's lifelong ambitions involves flights of a different kind - his goal is to take flying lessons and gain a private pilot's license. Which will be handy when C2 Software finally get round to building a runway in the staff car park.
