Kirk Potter
Kirk Potter, Research & Development Director
Kirk is a graduate of the University of Abertay with a B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Studies & Microsystems. Kirk joined C2 Software in 2000 from a manufacturing systems software background.
Kirk's many skills include project management, web accessibility, software architecture and design and systems integration. Kirk has exceptional problem solving ability and an aptitude for ensuring that risks are identified, quantified and addressed methodically which comes in useful when applied to his hobby of poker playing.
Kirk has led numerous projects for clients who include: Careers Scotland, Herbalife, NCR, Scottish Enterprise, and Royal Mint and cites his greatest achievement as Leading the development of the Careers Scotland website when it first launched and getting it live within 12 weeks.
Kirk is also a keen football fan of local team Dundee United (although we won't hold that against him) and teaches drumming in a local pipe band. Kirk trained to be a secondary school computing teacher before deciding to swap the classroom for the boardroom.
When faced with a problem to solve, Kirk's reaction is to exclaim loudly 'Impossible. Cant be done' only to return five minutes later having programmed the solution and with an idea to make it work even faster and more efficiently.
