Client Access Licenses

Microsoft Dynamics CRM Professional and Enterprise Servers follow the Microsoft Server/CAL licensing model, meaning that they require a separate Server license for each Server on which the software is installed, plus a User Client Access License (CAL) for every internal user who accesses CRM. The CAL license includes the Microsoft Outlook client integration software.

Information from CRM can be made available to external parties via a website or other application using the CRM external connector. This is a key component if integration is a required part of the solution.

  • Full use External Connector (Read/Write)
  • Limited External Connector (Read Only)

On Demand

Microsoft Dynamics CRM is also available on a Software as a Service (SaaS) model.  This will fall into the On Demand Service Provider License Agreement .

Subscriber Access License (SAL)
In the SAL model, a SAL is required for each unique named individual who is authorised to use the Microsoft Dynamics CRM software in any given month.
