Mobile Websites

Web Applications
Here at C2 we are firm believers in the power of the web. That power becomes greatly magnified when you can take the web with you anywhere you go. Web applications give you a native application look and feel without the hassle of deployment and updates via an App Store.
For example a web application on the smartphones can behave like a native application in many ways including an icon on the home screen and a general look which is consistent with the phone's user interface.
A big advantage of Web Applications over Native Applications is that they can be built to web standards (HTML5) and hence will work across mobile devices. Native Applications by their very nature need to be developed independently for each required platform. There is obviously considerable cost, client coverage and time to market benefits in developing an application only once.

Native Applications
Native applications are those which are written specifically for a device (e.g. iPhone, iPad, Android, etc.) and will inherently adopt the standard look and feel of the user interface on that device. Utilising our vast experience as software engineers we can design and build native applications from concept through to delivery.
Native apps have the advantage of being available from the relevant app stores e.g. Android marketplace, Apple App Store etc. raising your profile and ensuring your app is easily available from the mobile homepage.
The other key advantage of Native Apps is their ability to make use of the underlying phone hardware and applications e.g. Contact app, camera, motion sensors etc. Native Apps can also be tailored to the specific hardware that the application is targeted at e.g. IPad specific differences to account for the iPad's larger screen and processing power.
