Adviserwise launches using Activedition

Origo, the UK's financial services industry standards body for eCommerce has launched its Adviserwise website using the Activedition web content management system.

Based in Edinburgh, Origo was launched by sixteen leading life assurance companies in June 1989 to facilitate the development of electronic trading between principals and agents for Life, Pensions and Collective Investment business.

Adviserwise was set up to to provide financial advisers with information about eServices in one, accessible place. As there were 27 companies involved in this initiative, some with as many as four representatives, the system had to be intuitive and quick to learn.

It was critical that the system could cope with a range of content contributors working from different companies across the UK and so with different technical infrastructures.

"This financial services industry initiative was borne out of a number of problems identified via industry research and comment." said Justine McCoy, eServices Adoption Manager for Origo. "Due to the nature of such a large, complex initiative, Origo (the facilitator for the initiative) not only required a competent Content Management System, but to work with a company that was positive and full of innovative ideas to help develop solutions to a range of difficult requirements namely the dynamic comparison tool and how best to keep the information up to date by 27 companies."
