The upcoming release of update 1 for Dynamics CRM 2015 has created an online buzz with CRM users. There are some great new features included with this release and in this blog we look at two of the key changes.
Navigation changes
The main navigation system in Dynamics CRM have been re-designed to ensure the whole interface is easier to use. This upgrade is a welcome change as it makes it easier to access all areas of CRM as users don’t have to click left and right arrows to access menu options. This is a subtle, but much needed change, and addresses one of the main concerns levelled at the Dynamics CRM 2013 interface.
Import/export redesign
The redesign of the import/export to an Excel spreadsheet is a welcome feature. The limited amount of data that could be uploaded in sections if you didn’t want the process to take a long time has passed, and Dynamics CRM now supports unlimited rows of data to be imported or exported. With Dynamics CRM 2015 Update 1 users can now export up to 100,000 rows at once.
The complete redesign also allows users the ability to export data from Dynamics CRM from Outlook with a single click. This single click will export your data as an Excel document which can then be updated and re-imported. Not only is the Excel document automatically available for re-import, but it retains the formatting of the fields as they are in Dynamics CRM.
