Having a CRM system that allows administrators to implement field level security rules to restrict user access to data elements is a fundamental requirement for organisations. With Dynamics CRM 2015, users can control access to field values so that only the appropriate users can get access to valuable and private information.
Protecting Privacy
That’s exactly what you get with Dynamics CRM 2015, administrators are able to set granular user access permission right down to field level. Access to potentially private and sensitive information is fully controlled at a user/team level. If we take the GP Surgery scenario as an example (presented in the video below), the patient’s full record is held in CRM, the Doctor has access to the full medical records, but the receptionist would only have restricted access to the patient’s address and appointment schedule.
Dynamics CRM 2015 now completely supports field level security with the feature extended to both standard and custom entities. Previously only custom entities supported field level security.
Exploring Security Levels
The video below explains how Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2015 is pushing the envelope on security and how System Administrators can design and create complex security models.
