Returning a CRM GUID

To return the unique ID (GUID) for a record you must first highlight/select the record you want. Please note that this can be up to 10 records if working with CRM 2011 or higher.

Right click on one of the highlighted records and select the option "Copy a Link"

You will be prompted to allow access to your clipboard, "Allow access" for this.

You can then paste the link into a text document, can use notepad or anything similar.

The ID you are then needing is held in the section starting "id=" and is the value between the tags "%7b" and "%7d" as shown below. Please note that if more than one record was highlighted when the link was copied then these will paste in order to your text document
